“Trends don't mean anything to me. If I like something, I'll do it. If I don't, I won't do it, and I wouldn't care if everybody in the country mocked me... I don't set trends. I just find out what they are and exploit them.”

Oh, hello.

Why I decided to keep two blogs on one account is beyond me. This isn’t my main one, which is obvious, because it’s painfully neglected.

If you want, you can still find me quite active on my main blog: jiannecarla.tumblr.com

It’s the very same content, I promise! :)

30 Day Blog Challenge- Day 14

Day 14 – A TV show you’re currently addicted to.

Vampire Diaries! I never catch it on TV, so I usually watch them online.

But I’m even MORE addicted to Spartacus! My boyfriend and I just decided it looked interesting to watch on Netflix so we started to watch the “Gods of the Arena” one, which was actually made AFTER the main one called “Blood and Sand” or something. It’s a little weird, because “Gods of the Arena” is what happened BEFORE. Confusing? Eh. I liked the “Gods of the Arena” better so far… better characters, storyline, and graphics. :D

We seriously watch 3 episodes a day… it’s so good. Aside from it being EXTREMELY sexual in many aspects (which I don’t mind at all haha), whoever wrote the script is brilliant… language, costumes, etc. Very relevant, since I’m studying Ancient Greece and Rome in art history at the moment. Some of my favorite time periods.

30 Day Blog Challenge

Day 13 – Your favorite musician and why?

Might as well do this, just because. I know I’ll finish, it’ll just take a while haha.

My favorite musician… this is always a hard question for my to answer, because I’m open about all genres of music. If I had to pick one though, from the top of my head I would say Ne-Yo. Why? Because there is not ONE song from him that I dislike (except for “So Sick”… long story behind that… it’s personal). He writes wonderful songs for himself as well as for other musicians. I admit he isn’t the best looking dude in my opinion, but his talent surpasses that. :)

Summary of a story I MAY start writing.

I haven’t written a story, long or short, in YEARS. I used to write profusely in junior high and some of high school, but I honestly have gotten lazy (obviously, since I can’t even keep up with that 30 day blog challenge). I have so many ideas written somewhere and are constantly popping into my head, so writer’s block at this point is no problem. Getting started is the biggest problem for me as a writer.

I’m a little hesitant posting this up, because I’m a little anal about people copying or stealing my work without my knowledge. But I do want some opinion on this, whether I get it or not. And who really reads my blog, anyway?!

So on with my long summary. It’s untitled at the moment and it’s supposed to be kind of a thriller, which I’ve never really written before. I usually do fantasy or romance type of shiet. But who knows how this turns out? If I even work on it, that is.

A young woman, who is not really a maid or nurse, is hired to live with and care for a wealthy, elderly man. As a youth, he owned a large business and built its success. In present, he still overlooks the company, but passed the business on to his intelligent business-savvy son. The woman and old man live alone, except for two butlers, one maid, and one gardener.

One evening, the son visits his father at the estate; a rare occasion. When the son meets his father’s caretaker, he is instantly attracted to her. Over the next month, the son visits his father more often and attempts to woo the woman. But he barely succeeds. The woman found him kind and adventurous at times, but being a young owner of a large and successful company clearly forced greed and selfishness in him, especially towards those below him. If he did not get his way, he would somehow make sure to get it in the end.

Because of his ways, the woman could not love him. She cared and became protective of the old man, like a father. At this point, the son was beginning to act strange and angry at times; his failed efforts to win her began to eat at him. On another evening, the son appeared unannounced and wanted to join his father for dinner. He even offered to help the woman serve the food to the old man. Surprised, but willing to give him a chance at friendliness, she let him bring a pitcher of ice water and the appetizer soup to the table while she finished preparing the main dinner course.

A few minutes later, she hears choking and a helpless cry from the old man. She rushes to his side, but already finds him on the floor with foam seeping from his blue lips. He had been poisoned. The woman looks horrifically at the son, who is casually leaning against the table beside her. She begins to accuse him of murder and threatens to contact police. But she is quickly quieted when the son, still unaffected, threatens her in return; no one would believe her, because he could easily turn the blame on her.

Helpless, the woman asks what he wants and he simply replies with, “you.” She is more overcome with disgust and refuses. She decides to take a chance, and runs to the upstairs phone and calls 911. After all, it was the son’s prints that were last on the pitcher and soup bowl.

When the police arrive, the woman sees that the son already began his work on them. She runs out to them, trying to tell what happened as quickly as possible. But soon, the cops were cornering her; he had gotten to them.

Fin. That’s the summary so far. Obviously, there’s an ending, but I haven’t figured that out yet. I’m feeling “eh” about this plot already. We’ll see.
